Top Nuclear Program : our offer
Our Nuclear Engineering Division (DIN) offers you an exciting opportunity to develop your engineering career in France. As well as developing a range of new skills and learning a new language, you'll enjoy the chance to experience living and working in a different culture.

EDF Group is a leading player in the European energy industry, present in all areas of the electricity value chain, from generation to trading, and increasingly active in the gas chain in Europe. With a worldwide workforce of 160,000 people and a turnover of €64,3 billion, EDF is a leader in the French electricity market but also has solid positions in the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy.

EDF Group is the world’s largest nuclear power generator. We've built 67 Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) in France and contributed to the construction, commissioning and operation of some of the first NPPs in China and South Africa. With unrivalled experience of clean, safe and efficient nuclear power generation, we currently operate 58 nuclear reactors in France and are dismantling nine older plants.

With the need to reduce CO2 emissions, we firmly believe nuclear power has a major part to play in the future of energy and we aim to lead the way, with a focus on the UK, the USA and China. In the UK, we aim to build and operate four new nuclear power stations through our wholly-owned subsidiary EDF Energy, with the first commissioned in 2017.

Our Nuclear Engineering Division employs 4000 people at six engineering centres in France. As we put our ambitious plans for nuclear energy into action, we'll be looking to recruit over 250 engineers each year by 2012.

Our engineers are involved at every stage of a nuclear facility's life, from initial design and construction, through to maintenance and eventual dismantling. Join us and you'll enjoy the opportunity to develop your engineering skills in any of these activities :

- building a "third generation" nuclear reactor (European Pressure Reactor project) in Flamanville, France
- acting as an architect engineer in our nuclear international development designing and implementing maintenance services for our 58 nuclear power plants in France
- studying the conditions for extending the life of NPPs to 50 or 60 years
- decommissioning and dismantling nine nuclear sites
- inspecting suppliers' manufacturing processes at their factories
